DCVT BARRE TENDERS?
This fall DCVT decided it was time to recognize some of the amazing men that have helped our compnany throughout the past semesters in various and uncredited ways. It was fine time to recognize the work and effort that these men have put forth for the better good of DCVT. We honored them with the title "Barre Tender". The title is broken down into "Barre" meaning a ballet warm-up barre and relating to dance, and "Tender" for their uncanny ability to tend to DCVT's needs. Without further ado...

REMEMBERING OUR FALLEN HOKIES:
Our dear friend and fellow dancer, Reema Samaha, was killed April 16th, 2007 in the attacks on Virginia Tech. With the help of UVA's Dance Explosion, the Contemporary Dance Ensemble has decided to offer a scholarship in Reema's name. The scholarship will be awarded to a CDE member who loves life, is always smiling and is completely dedicated to CDE like Reema was. The scholarship will pay for the student ’s semester dues as well as allow them a solo performance in CDE’s semi-annual show.
